Player Safety

Overview of Player Safety

CCFA looks to prevent injury whenever possible.

The keys to injury prevention are proper:

  • Equipment fitting
  • Coach training
  • Defined progression of player engagement and rigor
  • Tackling and game gameplay technique
  • Concussion recognition and medical preparedness
  • Fostering a community environment of safety appreciation
  • Reporting policy and therapeutic "return to play" plan.

All Head and Assistant Coaches MUST PASS annual certifications and background check before being eligible to coach for CCFA.

Player Safety & USA Football

Football is one of the safest contact sports because of the quality of protective equipment,  evolving rules, player and coach safety training, and modified practices.  CCFA coaches receive formal training and in turn, educate our players,  and follow the rules and regulations of USA Football. The following links will provide you with more understanding.
